'Stereotypical’ is a campaign against stereotypical thinking.
The series of three posters uses food to symbolise cultural stereotype. Although the stereotype is shown through an image of food, the message is much larger. The way that we are so quick to label foods belonging to certain cultures is reflective of how quickly we are to judge people by their culture before getting to know them individually. Cultural stereotype is something so common that it often goes unnoticed.
This poster series aims to raise awareness of cultural prejudice that surrounds us everyday and to encourage people to think beyond this and break stereotypes.
